Made for kids who find routines hard.
Including kids with ADHD. Nothing on the screen is decoration. Each piece is there to make the next step obvious and worth doing.
Only one step is lit. The next thing to do stands out from the rest, so getting started is the easy part.
It reads each step out loud. Kids who can’t read yet tap the speaker and hear what to do. Every step has a picture, too.
Progress on every tap. The ring fills the moment a step is done. The payoff is right now, not at the end of the week.
Short lists, not a wall. The day is split into morning, after school and bedtime, so there are only ever a few steps to see.
A missed day never wipes out progress. Kickstand is a routine tool, not a medical treatment.

Morning
After school
Set it up in a couple of minutes.
- Tick steps from ideas, or write your own. Each one gets a picture and a time of day.
- Choose how it pays off: just the checklist, tokens for rewards you create, or an allowance.
- Hand over the phone or tablet. Parent settings stay behind a PIN.
- Get one quiet note when a list is done, instead of checking in.
Questions parents ask
- What ages is Kickstand for?
- Kids about 5 to 12. Every step has a picture, and the app reads each step out loud, so kids who can’t read yet can follow along on their own. The look is built for kids who have outgrown sticker charts and cute-pet apps.
- Is it for kids with ADHD?
- It's made for any kid who finds routines hard, including kids with ADHD: big pictures, one step at a time, and no shame for a missed day. It's a routine tool, not a treatment.
- Do I have to use rewards or allowance?
- No. Each kid can have just the checklist, tokens they spend on rewards you create (screen time, a trip for ice cream, picking dinner), or an allowance that adds up as they finish. You pay out however you already do.
- Does my kid need their own phone?
- No. Use a shared family tablet or an old phone in child mode. Parent tools stay behind a PIN.
- Are there ads? What about my kid’s data?
- Never any ads. We collect only what the app needs to run your family's routines, and we never sell it.
- When can I get it?
- Kickstand is coming to iPhone, iPad and Android. Join early access and we will send one email when it is ready.
I went looking for an app for my 7‑year‑old, who has a provisional ADHD diagnosis. I couldn’t find anything he’d be excited to use.
The routine apps I found were either built for adults, built for toddlers, or felt like homework with a sticker on top. He didn’t need another chart. He needed something that felt like his: cool enough that he wanted to open it, clear enough that he could do it himself.
So I built it. Kickstand is meant to be a win for kids, who get to feel capable and proud, and a win for parents, who get to stop being the reminder.
